Subject: CONTACT from ParrishServices.com Date: Monday, April 05, 2010 10:56:30 PM Comments: As a followup to my last message, Scott arrived at 10:15 and took only a half hour to diagnose, repair and leave an invoice. He was polite and professional. Quick and efficient service after he arrived! He removed a door safety switch that was the cause of the problem and recommended that we have an electrician install an on/off toggle. While waiting for his arrival we received calls from the territory manager and another young lady checking on the issue from tonight, which was the best customer service response we have ever received in home repair issues. They both were concerned and helpful, making sure that the job was attended to.. My niece is already feeling better! I suppose the only complaint I have from tonight is that it took a while to get done, but overall I really felt like a team was working to help us out. We're moving in a month to a new location in Woodbridge, it needs air conditioner and maybe heater work too. We'll definitely consider Parrish! Eric

Ref: Exceptional Service from Mr. Luis Machado. We wish to express our deepest thanks and acknowledge Mr. Machado for coming out to our house on Good Friday evening (past 6:00 pm). We had a small contractor’s unit that came with our townhouse. It was out of freon and had not been operating properly and we had our elderly Mother-in-law (my wife’s Mom) coming to our home on Easter Sunday to stay for several days. Mr. Machado was able to diagnose the problems with our old unit and suggested a proper unit to install. He was able to ensure a temporary loaner unit to be installed on Saturday in time for our Mother-inlaw’s arrival on Sunday. The Parrish installer was Chris and was excellent, professional and the loaner unit was very effective. The new Trane unit to replace the loaner was also installed on Monday (installed by Rafael and another Chris). This unit is working perfectly (cooling better than ever in our 11 years at this townhome). We purchased a service plan for our townhome furnace on Mr. Machado’s suggestion and look forward to Parrish Services’ first-class personnel and service. We again wish to thank you for Mr. Machado’s absolutely first-class response to our predicament and at such a late visit on Good Friday. It truly was a Godsend. We are deeply appreciative and will recommend Parrish Services everywhere we can. (Incidentally, you were recommended to us by our daughter and Son-in law Andy and Kelli Ratliff for whom you did some work at their home in Lansdowne. “I will highly recommend you..." Good morning. I just want to comment on the services I recently received from Parrish Services.
The first one was September 23rd - I called panicked that morning as I was about to leave for the beach for a couple of days and when I checked the hot water heater area (as I always do before leaving for any length of time) I noticed water on the floor under the water heater. I call Parrish to see if there was ANY way someone could come out immediately to check this out. The person on the phone was more than accommodating and someone came out within an hour or thereabouts and repaired the hot water heater. Although my leaving was delayed, I was confident after Joseph's arrival that this problem would be fixed. Joseph was very professional and described in detail what he would be doing and approximately how long it would take. Kudos to Joseph!
The second visit by Parrish was on Tues, Sept 29th where I had Derek Hunter here for the winter check of furnace and gas fireplaces. Again, very prompt and very through. Derek too explained what he would be doing and answered all my questions very professionally. He also took the time to check the thermostat only to find it wasn't working 'just right' . He showed me the area on the thermostat where wires were not connecting and made minor adjustment in hopes it would correct it. Kudos to Derek!
I am very pleased with the service Parrish has provided me since the purchase of this home in 2007. I will highly recommend you, as I feel Parrish has been nothing but fair and accommodating.

Did not need a whole new unit
I want to take a moment to let you know how much my husband and I appreciate the time and effort your company has made to maintain our air conditioning in the last month or so. On Saturday, June 15th, Alan serviced our air conditioning by adding Freon and then, after thoroughly examining the system, informed us that we needed a new coil for our unit. Alan was wonderful, extremely knowledgeable, and educated me on what was going on. He was quick to let me know that I didn’t need a whole new unit but just the coil. The coil was ordered in a timely fashion relieving my concern (with a very ill husband) that I would be without A/C.
Then, when the coil came in, Richard was scheduled to install it. Again, the scheduling was done in a timely fashion and with concern for my schedule. Richard spent almost an entire day at my house installing the coil, and performing maintenance on our system that, in my opinion, went way beyond the call of duty. He even fixed a drain problem related to the air conditioning that has bothered my husband and I since we bought our home in 1990. All the work Richard did was obviously done with pride and was expertly done.
In a time when customer service seems to have “bit the dust,” Parrish restored our faith in the service industry-or at least as far as Parrish goes. You took care of my heating emergency promptly and professionally. Now that I have your ten year warranty on my system, I can rest easy knowing I won’t have another heating emergency. They did research and tested several other units:
I started my relationship with Parrish Services when I moved into my new townhouse in the city of Manassas. I had two gas fireplaces that needed to be serviced because they had been “Red Tagged” by the gas company for gas and carbon monoxide leaks. Just about the same time, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I had to cancel my appointment indefinitely to take care of both her and my father. During this time the office staff contacted me periodically to ask how my mother was doing and that meant a lot to me. When I finally was able to reschedule my appointment, the service person very thorough and had both my fireplaces up and running again without any major repairs.
A few months later I had to have my furnace serviced and found that I needed to replace it. The new furnace was installed and subsequently had to be replaced because it had defects that caused it to generate such a high level of noise that it woke me up at night on the top floor of my townhouse. The service team was very responsive and, as it turned out, there were numerous complaints about the same unit. I was quite impressed when they did research and tested some other units and made a video to compare the unit I had had installed and a new unit that was quite a bit quieter. They ended up coming back and taking out the new unit and replacing it with another brand that is ten times quieter.
I appreciate the dedication and time that was put into correcting my problem by both the office personnel and the service personnel. I would recommend Parrish Highly. The professionalism and customer service and going the extra mile to provide excellent service is very refreshing in this day and age when most companies seem to have forgotten who the customer is. Assessing the situation and resolving the homeowners’ comfort problem:
We want to express our appreciation for the central heating and cooling system Parrish Services installed recently. Our old system was less than satisfactory because it was incapable of heating and cooling the entire house effectively or efficiently. The control of main floor (we have three floors) was generally okay (though far from ideal), but the control of the upper floor was terrible- during the winter, there wasn’t enough air flow upstairs to properly heat the floor, and during the summer there wasn’t enough air to properly cool the floor. In fact, this spring the only cool air that we got upstairs came through the windows.
The system that Parrish Services installed is a breath of fresh air, so to speak. The unit works effectively and efficiently, enabling us to control the temperature on the third floor—and we can cool the entire house in minutes, even the top floor. Indeed the new system (because of the ECM motor) sends plenty of air to the top floor, allowing us to keep an optimal temperature range without resorting to open the windows.
We are quite pleased with our new heating and cooling system, and we are quite pleased with the service that we have received form Parrish Services (from sales to service). The servicemen who installed the unit were courteous and cordial, and they went about their work with efficiency and professionalism. They also took time to talk to us about the new unit and to answer all of our questions. Equally important, they took great care not to damage anything or to get anything dirty-in fact, they left the area cleaner than when they arrived.
